Residents of Bracebridge will have an in-person chance to engage with the Trillium Lakelands District School Board when it holds its Public Board Meeting at the Muskoka Education Centre on February 24, 2026. The session is part of the board’s 2025–2026 calendar and gives families and staff of Bracebridge and Muskoka Lakes Secondary School a local venue to observe decisions or, by prior arrangement, present concerns to trustees. Members of the public who wish to appear before the Board must submit a written application to the Director’s Office at least six days before the meeting; the Director and Board Chair determine whether the presentation will be scheduled.
A second meeting at the same location is set for May 26, 2026. Agendas, minutes and highlights are typically published on the Friday prior to each meeting on the TLDSB Board Meetings page.
The Muskoka Education Centre serves as the board’s administrative hub in the region and houses the Director of Education’s satellite office and a significant portion of the board’s senior administration. By rotating meetings among Bracebridge, Lindsay and Haliburton, TLDSB aims to make board governance more accessible across its wide district.
Board meetings in February often mark a mid-year review of student enrollment and the first steps in drafting the next school year’s financial plan. Local stakeholders frequently raise facility concerns, programming ideas and budget questions when the board convenes at the Muskoka Education Centre.
