The Rimbey & Area Community Events Group and the Town of Rimbey Recreation Office (Rimbey Community and Recreation Services) have opened applications for local businesses and makers to join this year’s summer festivals and markets in Rimbey, Alberta. Starting Feb. 2, 2026, artisans and food sellers can book their spots for the upcoming season to ensure they have a place at the town’s most popular gatherings.

The 2026 event season is scheduled to run from May 16, 2026, through Oct. 10, 2026. Organizers are seeking people to sell handmade goods and fresh produce at the weekly Farmers Market, the annual rodeo, and Canada Day celebrations.

Vendors who sign up by the early-bird deadline on March 15, 2026, can secure their place before the summer rush. Primary venues listed by organisers include the Quality Inn & Suites parking lot (Farmers Market), downtown on 51st Street, and the Rimbey Ag Rim Centre for major events such as the July rodeo.

By opening applications early, the group aims to prioritize local makers who bake, grow or build their own products and to keep ‘Shop Local’ front-and-centre for the summer season. Local news outlet the Rimbey Review has previously reported that these events are an important part of the town’s local economy and attract visitors each year.

People interested in selling items can find application forms linked on the community group’s Facebook page or pick up a paper copy at the Recreation Office (4938 50th Avenue). Estimated weekly stall fees are $20–$30, while fees for larger events—such as the rodeo—are typically higher (estimated $75–$150 depending on space and power needs for food trucks and equipment). Vendors should consult the organisers or the Town Recreation Office for the definitive fee schedule and any Alberta Health Services requirements.
