The Town of Bay Roberts, Newfoundland and Labrador, is celebrating the 30th anniversary of its annual Winterfest from February 26 to March 2, 2026. This landmark event brings the community together for five days of local activities designed to encourage neighbours to get outside during the winter months.
This year’s festival features a variety of gatherings hosted by both the town and local community groups, such as the Anglican Church and area lodges. To ensure a full schedule, the Town of Bay Roberts Special Events Committee accepted event submissions from local organisations until February 18, 2026.
According to Mayor Geoff Seymour, the town is using a balanced budget for 2026 to support these community celebrations and maintain financial stability. The mayor noted that the budget reflects a collaborative effort to prepare the town for the year ahead.
Winterfest is one of several major events on the 2026 calendar for the town, which also includes the Newfoundland Tulip Festival and Klondyke Days. Residents can view the full list of winter activities and times on the town’s official website and social media platforms.
