The Town of View Royal, British Columbia, has set three meeting dates for March 2026 to discuss local rules and the upcoming budget. Residents can attend these public sessions to hear about projects that affect their local parks, services, and neighborhoods.

All sessions will take place from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the town hall. According to the Town of View Royal, the regular council meetings are set for March 3 and March 17, while a committee of the whole meeting – a session where the entire council reviews items in detail – will happen on March 10.

Councillors are expected to continue discussions on a major road project called the Western Gateway Corridor following a special meeting held in late February. Other items likely to be discussed include the 2026 municipal budget and the next steps for expanding the West Shore RCMP facility.

The town is also reviewing how it manages traffic for large events after the Wounded Warrior Run BC finished its route through the community on March 1, 2026. These March sessions are an important time for the current council to finalize goals before the next municipal election this October.

Mayor Sid Tobias previously announced that he will not be running for his seat again in the 2026 election. Residents who want to see the specific topics for each night can find the full lists of items on the town’s meeting page before the sessions begin.
