A high-energy rock tribute show is coming to Summerside, Prince Edward Island, on March 5, 2026, as part of a local winter concert series. The event, titled “Bad Reputation,” will feature a tribute to rock icon Joan Jett and is expected to bring more people to the downtown area on a weekday evening.
The performance will take place at 7:30 PM at the Scott MacAulay Performing Arts Centre. This show is a double-bill that pairs high-energy rock music with a traditional folk duo called the Saltwater Dollies.
The headlining band, Bad Reputation, includes guitarist Eric, who is a Summerside native. Fans can expect to hear famous hits like “I Love Rock ‘n’ Roll,” “Crimson & Clover,” and the band’s namesake song.
The opening act features the Saltwater Dollies, a group founded by well-known Island fiddler and multi-instrumentalist Keelin Wedge. According to Tourism PEI, the concert is part of the Winter Shine Series, which provides ticketed entertainment to help keep the city’s cultural scene active during the winter.
By hosting the event downtown, the series helps bring extra customers to local businesses and restaurants during the middle of the week. This specific show offers a different style of music than the traditional or Celtic performances often found at the venue.
