The Yorkton Indigenous Friendship Centre is hosting a two-day conference focused on men’s health and cultural healing on March 26 and 27, 2026, in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. The event will take place at the St. Mary’s Parish Ukrainian Catholic Cultural Centre to provide a space for local men to connect and find mental health support.
The gathering is open to men aged 18 and older and focuses on creating a sense of brotherhood through shared activities. Participants can take part in workshops, discussions, and cultural activities designed to help with personal healing and connection.
This event is part of a larger effort by the Yorkton Indigenous Friendship Centre to restore local support services. The organization recently returned to the city after the community was left without a friendship centre for several years following a closure in 2018.
Registration for the conference is now open for those eligible to attend. Community members can sign up or ask questions by contacting Florence Veteri at (306) 621-9972 through a phone call or text message.
