The Aurora Community Band will perform a show called “A Gallery In Sound: Music Inspired by Art” on June 7, 2026, in Aurora, Ontario. The event will take place at the Davide De Simone Performance Hall and highlights how music and visual art work together.
The band will play a variety of pieces, including music from Disney’s Fantasia 2000 and the movie Moulin Rouge. The performance also features pieces titled Scenes from ‘The Louvre’ and Postcards from Manhattan.
The group includes about 50 volunteer musicians of all ages and was first started in 2011. Gord Shephard directs the band, which has performed in the community for 15 years.
This event is taking place at Aurora Town Square, which is a new centre for culture in town. Residents can get more information about attending the show through the local box office.
