The Town of Canmore is hosting a free drop-in tax support session for Bow Valley residents on March 25, 2026. This event, located in Canmore, Alberta, will run from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Civic Centre Classroom.
The session is specifically designed for community members who have low or modest incomes and simple tax situations. This initiative provides a way for residents to get help filing their taxes at no cost to ensure they receive the government benefits they are eligible for.
Agents from the Canada Revenue Agency and volunteer tax preparers will be at the Civic Centre to provide one-on-one help. No appointment is necessary, and residents can simply drop in during the day to speak with an expert or get help with their paperwork.
This program is a collaboration between the municipal government and local Family and Community Support Services. It aims to support vulnerable community members who may find it difficult to navigate the federal tax system on their own.
