The Thunder Bay Police Service is investigating a homicide after a man was found dead in the south end of Thunder Bay, Ontario. Officers were sent to the Hall Place area on the evening of March 1, 2026, where they discovered the body.
The police department’s Major Crime Unit is now leading the investigation. Detectives are asking for help from anyone who might have security camera or dashcam video from the surrounding area.
Specifically, investigators are looking for footage from Walsh Street East between Edward Street South and Tarbutt Street South. They are interested in any recordings made between February 22, 2026, and March 1, 2026.
People living in the south end can expect to see an active police presence while the investigation moves forward. Anyone with information or video is asked to contact Detective Constable Jason Bresele or report tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
