Residents in Aurora, Ontario, should prepare for a return to winter-like conditions as a cold front moves through the area this week. Although there are currently no official weather alerts, a mix of high winds, freezing temperatures, and snow is expected to replace the recent mild weather.
According to Environment Canada, the community will see strong wind gusts reaching up to 60 km/h on Thursday, March 12, 2026. These winds are expected to continue into Friday, March 13, 2026, with gusts of around 50 km/h throughout the morning.
The weather service is also forecasting about 5 cm of snowfall for the area on Friday. Along with the snow, temperatures will feel much colder as the wind chill is expected to drop to -14°C during the morning hours.
This sudden shift follows a period of rainfall and warmer temperatures that had recently moved through the region. Residents can expect these colder conditions and winter weather to remain for the rest of the week.
