Between March 9 and March 14, 2026, the St. Theresa Point Anisininew Nation Community Wellness & Prevention program hosted a regional ice hockey tournament in St. Theresa Point, Manitoba. The week-long event brought together players from the four Anisininew Nations to compete and stay active.
In the Men’s Division, the Wass Wild finished in first place. The STP Riders followed in second place, while the GH Chiefs took home the third-place spot.
The Women’s Division saw the Prevention team take the top prize. The Aftercare team placed second and the Post team finished in third place.
Organizers planned the tournament to promote community health and encourage more people to take part in local sports. The games provided a way for residents from across the region to connect and support their home teams.
