The Summerside Rotary Library in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, is closed for renovations until March 28, 2026. This closure means that all library services and drop-in programs are currently unavailable to the public.
The library is located at 57 Central Street inside the Inspire Learning Centre, which was once the city’s main post office. The 20,000-square-foot facility serves as a major meeting spot for residents of the city and nearby Prince County.
Because the work is happening inside the building, PEERS Alliance has cancelled its weekly drop-in sessions held at its second-floor office. The organization expects to start its community programming again in April 2026 once the space is ready.
The Rotary Club of Summerside helped establish the current library location in 2016. The project cost about $2.4 million and was funded in part by a contribution from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency.
