The Lethbridge Hurricanes celebrated their top individual performers at the second annual Awards Breakfast on March 22, 2026, in Lethbridge, Alberta. Despite finishing the Western Hockey League season in last place with a record of 17-47-3-1, the event at the Coast Lethbridge Hotel and Conference Centre highlighted the growth of young players during a rebuilding year.
Rookie Easton Daneault was a major highlight of the morning, taking home both the Top Scorer and Rookie of the Year awards after leading the team with 53 points. Owen Berge was named the team’s most valuable player, earning the Harry Ingarfield Memorial Award as the only player on the roster to score more than 20 goals this season.
The team also recognized forward Tyden Lafournaise and alternate captain Matteo Fabrizi with the Joan Kobal Memorial Award for perseverance and dedication. Both players were noted for their commitment to the team while dealing with significant personal challenges and time away from the ice during the season.
The awards mark the end of a season that saw significant changes, including Matt Anholt taking over as head coach before the campaign and Barclay Parneta stepping in as interim general manager in January. The club moved several veteran players during the year to focus on developing younger talent for the future.
