Drivers in Dead Man’s Flats should prepare for a temporary road closure on 2nd Avenue on April 9 and April 10, 2026. The Municipal District of Bighorn No. 8 announced the closure to accommodate concrete deliveries for the ongoing construction of the Cliff Resort.
The work is being managed by Premier Building Solutions, the general contractor for the project located at 150 1st Avenue. The Cliff Resort is a mixed-use development featuring visitor accommodations, retail space, and a restaurant, along with flexible accommodation units on the upper floors.
While the construction activity requires closing a portion of 2nd Avenue, the municipality has confirmed that no access restrictions are anticipated for any other properties in the hamlet. Detour and road closure signs will be in place throughout the two-day period to direct traffic around the work site.
The Cliff Resort project is part of the ongoing redevelopment of the hamlet, which is guided by an area plan adopted in 2013 to support new residential and tourism growth in the region.
