A free event focused on health, wellness, and community connection for seniors in Red Deer, Alberta, will take place on April 29, 2026. The Young at Heart Seniors Expo will be hosted at the Red Deer Curling Centre, also known as the Pidherney Curling Centre, located at 4725 43 Street, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Designed for individuals aged 55 and older across Central Alberta, the expo offers a space for attendees to explore health products, wellness services, and community resources. The event features interactive activities, games, and prize opportunities. Madison Worth, an events supervisor for the organizer, Black Press Events, stated that the initiative is focused on creating meaningful connections for the community.
The expo arrives as residents look for new ways to connect following the closure of the Central Alberta Council on Aging in December 2025. With seniors aged 65 and older making up approximately 15 percent of Red Deer’s population, organizers say the event serves as a hub for resource navigation. Among the confirmed exhibitors are Caregivers of Alberta, Expedia Cruises, Hearing Life, Nurse Next Door, Three Robins Red Deer, and Seasons Retirement Communities.
Following the seniors event, a free Career and Education Expo will be held at the same venue on April 30, 2026, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
