The Village of Haines Junction is inviting local non-profits, community groups, and organizations to apply for grant funding to support arts, sport, and recreation projects. The deadline to submit applications for the current funding cycle is April 15, 2026.
The funding is provided through the Yukon Lottery Commission under its Community Lottery Program. This program distributes a portion of lottery ticket profits to help local groups launch or maintain projects related to amateur sports, physical fitness, performing and visual arts, and programs that improve community recreation, inclusion, and active living.
The program has implemented an allocation methodology that adjusts payments based on the Consumer Price Index and updated population data to ensure a more equitable distribution of resources across the territory.
Groups interested in applying for this support can find detailed information and application forms through the Village of Haines Junction. Applications must be completed and submitted directly to the Village Office by 4:30 p.m. on the April 15 deadline.
