Young artists in Aurora have until the end of the day on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, to register for a chance to display their creative work at the upcoming annual Art Show and Sale. While spots for adult participants are already filled, the town is still accepting applications from youth aged 12 to 17 who are interested in showcasing their original artwork.
The exhibition, which is now in its 62nd year, is widely recognized as one of the longest-running events of its kind in Canada. This year, the show will take place on Saturday, May 2, and Sunday, May 3, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Aurora Town Hall, located at 100 John West Way.
The event is a partnership between the Town of Aurora and the Society of York Region Artists (SOYRA), a non-profit group dedicated to supporting creators across the area. Visitors can expect to view more than 300 pieces of original artwork created in a variety of mediums. The show is made possible through the support of event sponsor TD Bank Group and the Optimist Club of Aurora, which specifically sponsors the youth category.
Participation is free for attendees, and the event highlights a wide range of local talent. Those interested in registering for the remaining youth spots can do so through the official town website.
