According to Environment Canada, the severe thunderstorm warning that swept through Windsor-Essex County on April 15, 2026, is no longer in effect. The storm system, which brought heavy rainfall and dangerous wind gusts reaching 90 km/h, has passed through the region.
Current conditions as of April 19, 2026, are stable, with The Weather Network confirming that no further active alerts remain for the area. Observers at the local airport reported sunny skies with temperatures near 5.8°C on Sunday morning.
Looking ahead, the community will see a significant shift in the weather. While the spring season has been marked by cooler temperatures and lingering precipitation, forecasters expect a warming trend to take hold this week. Temperatures are set to climb, reaching an unseasonably warm 24°C by Thursday, April 23. This will be approximately 9 degrees warmer than the usual seasonal average of 15°C.
