Summerside residents are seeing a warm start to the week as temperatures climb well above the seasonal average. According to Environment Canada, the temperature is expected to reach a high of 15°C on Sunday, April 19, 2026. This is significantly warmer than the typical high of 7°C usually seen in April, based on historical data from Current Results.
The warm weather will not last all week, however. Rain is expected to arrive Sunday night, with 5 to 10 millimetres of accumulation forecast. This is expected to transition into a mix of rain and snow by Monday morning before clearing up. Mid-week will bring blustery conditions with northwest winds gusting up to 50 km/h.
The rest of the week will see a mix of conditions, including fog and drizzle early on. Skies are expected to clear by Thursday, with temperatures returning to a seasonal high of 8°C. There are currently no weather alerts in effect for the area.
