Red Deer seniors are invited to join local leadership for an afternoon of music and memories at the Mayor’s Senior Social: Through the Windshield of Time, taking place on June 3, 2026.
The free event, hosted by Mayor Cindy Jefferies and City Manager Tara Lodewyk, will run from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Exhibition Hall in Westerner Park, with doors opening at 1:30 p.m. It is open to all residents aged 55 and older who wish to connect with neighbors and share community history.
The afternoon will feature a performance by a quartet from the Red Deer Symphony Orchestra, playing music spanning the 1930s through the 1970s. Members of City Council and city staff will also be in attendance to visit with guests and serve refreshments.
To ensure accessibility, the city is providing complimentary shuttle transportation between Sorensen Station and Westerner Park. Seniors who wish to attend must reserve their tickets by May 29, 2026, through Eventbrite.
