The Summerside Western Capitals are encouraging fans to purchase tickets now for the 2026 Centennial Cup, as the national junior A hockey championship is set to begin in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, in less than one month.
The tournament will take place at Credit Union Place from May 7 to May 17, 2026. This national event, which is presented by Tim Hortons, will feature 10 teams, including nine league champions from the Canadian Junior Hockey League as well as the host Summerside Western Capitals.
According to the team, the event is expected to draw significant interest from across the country. The Summerside Western Capitals are advising residents not to wait to secure their seats for the tournament, which serves as Canada’s National Junior A Hockey Championship.
This marks the fourth time the local organization has hosted the championship and the sixth time the event has been staged in Prince Edward Island. The Capitals enter the tournament following a successful 2025-26 regular season, where the team finished in first place overall.
