The annual Extreme Mudfest is returning to the region for its third year, with organizers releasing a full 2026 event schedule for the festivities taking place July 2 to July 5 in Pouce Coupe.
Hosted at the Aasen family ranch at 187 Riverside Road, the event is once again being marketed as a Dawson Creek area attraction. While main festival activities are set for July 3 through July 5, the site will open early on Thursday, July 2, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM for racer load-in.
The musical lineup features rock and punk acts throughout the weekend. Big Wreck is set to headline the main stage on Friday, July 3, while punk band GOB will headline on Saturday, July 4. The weekend concludes on Sunday, July 5, with four separate performances by the country rock duo Cayell. Additional live acts, including Canadian Clearwater Revival and the Backwoods Superfreaks, are also featured on the schedule.
Racing remains a central component of the festival, with daily events including mud bogs, mega trucks, J-Hook competitions, and the bounty hole challenge. The festival site officially opens to the public at 1:00 PM on Friday, with the first round of mud bogs starting at 2:00 PM.
Organizers have also included family-oriented activities on the final day. Attendees can participate in a pancake breakfast at 9:00 AM on Sunday, followed by a family supper for charity at 6:00 PM. The event operates under a three-year permit issued by the Peace River Regional District, marking the third year of the festival’s residency at the Pouce Coupe site.
