The senior girls volleyball team from Aurora High School earned a silver medal at the 2026 Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations Girls’ AA Volleyball Championship. The provincial tournament took place from March 9 to March 11, 2026, marking a significant athletic achievement for the team.
Competing against schools from across the province, the Aurora Eagles secured second place in the tournament. The gold medal was awarded to Branksome Hall, while St. Mary Catholic Secondary School took home the bronze medal.
The competition, held by the Ontario Federation of School Athletic Associations, is recognized as one of the most competitive high school sports events in Ontario. To reach the provincial level, teams must first succeed in their local athletic associations.
Aurora High School is part of the York Region District School Board. Under the leadership of principal Debbie Linkewich, the school’s athletic program continues to represent the community at high-level provincial events.
