This recruitment comes shortly before the launch of the Sault Loops, a completely redesigned transit network set to begin service on June 7, 2026. Sault Ste. Marie Transit Services currently operates a fleet of 27 buses, 2 minibuses, and 11 paratransit vehicles across nine routes. The service has been operated by the city since 1964 and has a history of public transit operations in the community dating back to 1888.
