The Grande Prairie Stompede returns to Evergreen Park in Grande Prairie, Alberta, from May 27 to May 31, 2026, bringing back one of the community’s biggest gatherings with rodeo events, a parade, a market and a free pancake breakfast to open the week.
According to the Grande Prairie Stompede Association, the five-day event will feature professional rodeo, chuckwagon racing, a midway from West Coast Amusements, a market at Clarkson Hall, beer gardens with live entertainment and family activities.
The City of Grande Prairie will start Stompede week with a free community pancake breakfast on May 27 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at H.A. Rice Plaza at Bonnetts Energy Centre. The chuckwagon races at the event also serve as the opening event of the World Professional Chuckwagon Association season.

The Stompede has drawn as many as 50,000 people in recent years, making it one of the largest community events in the Peace Country.
