The Selkirk & District Horticultural Society will hold its 28th annual plant sale on Friday, May 29, 2026, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Selkirk Memorial Hall, 368 Jemima Street in Selkirk, Manitoba. The free event gives local gardeners a chance to pick up plants while supporting the society’s work in gardening education.
According to the society, the sale will feature plants grown by members, including perennials, annuals, vegetables, herbs, bulbs, fruiting shrubs, trees, vines, succulents, houseplants, native plants and specialty plants. Admission and parking are free, but all sales are cash-only.
The event will also include a silent auction and a 50/50 draw. The society says the plant sale is part of its community-focused work to share gardening knowledge and support local beautification projects.
Selkirk Memorial Hall is operated by the Rural Municipality of St. Clements and has long been a community gathering place in the city. The hall at 368 Jemima Street will again serve as the setting for one of the society’s biggest annual fundraisers.
