The City of Dawson Creek, BC, will hold its 2025 Annual Municipal Report meeting on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall, giving residents a chance to learn about the past year’s activities and finances.
The 2025 Annual Report is available now for public viewing online or at City Hall during regular business hours, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Residents who want to ask questions or make written submissions about the report must send them to [email protected] or drop them off at City Hall by noon on Friday, June 26.
The report covers how the city managed its money, maintained roads and parks, and handled emergency situations in 2025. One highlight is hosting the Para Cup, an international event that brought athletes and visitors to town. The city also dealt with regional wildfires and continued work on asset management planning.
Council approved a $92-million budget for 2026 with a property tax increase of 5.45 per cent, which means the average homeowner will pay about $113 more this year. The annual meeting is required under BC’s Community Charter and must happen no later than June 30 each year.
Mayor Darcy Dober and the six city councillors are expected to attend. People who cannot make it in person can watch a livestream on the City of Dawson Creek Facebook page. The meeting agenda will include any questions and submissions received by the Friday deadline.
