Redcliff Days returns to Redcliff, Alberta this weekend with a full slate of free family activities from June 19 to 21. The annual celebration includes an outdoor movie, a bike safety rodeo, community garage sales, and a free shuttle to get residents between events.
Things kick off Friday afternoon with the Bike Rodeo at the Rec-Tangle Arena from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Hosted by the Town of Redcliff, Primary Care Alberta, and the Redcliff RCMP, the rodeo gives kids a chance to have their bikes tuned and helmets fitted for free before tackling an obstacle course.
Friday evening, families can head to Lions Park for a free outdoor screening of the movie “GOAT” starting at 9:30 p.m. Servus Credit Union is sponsoring the movie, with equipment provided by Night Owl Cinema. Snacks will be sold by the Redcliff Youth Centre, with all proceeds going back into the centre’s free programs for local youth. The centre says it needs about $200,000 each year to stay fully open and support young people.
Throughout the weekend, residents can also take part in community-wide garage sales. A free shuttle service, the Sunshine Trolley, will run between the main venues all three days. The town has posted event maps and schedules on its website to help families plan their weekend.
