The Aurora Family Leisure Complex will open its doors for free leisure swims and a family open gym this Canada Day, while the Stronach Aurora Recreation Complex remains closed for the holiday.
On Wednesday, July 1, residents can take part in free leisure swims at AFLC from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. and again from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. A free family open gym session will run from 12:30 to 2 p.m. The facility will operate on altered hours, opening from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. that day.
The Stronach Aurora Recreation Complex on Wellington Street East will be fully closed July 1. The town released the holiday schedules for both facilities in May and June.
On Tuesday, June 30, and Thursday, July 2, AFLC will offer only lane swimming during morning, midday, and afternoon sessions. There will be no leisure swims on those days.
Looking ahead to the Civic Holiday weekend, the AFLC pool will be closed Saturday, August 1, and Sunday, August 2. Limited lane swimming, a leisure swim, and aquafitness classes will resume on Monday, August 3.
