Selkirk’s annual community parade is set for Saturday, July 11, 2026, and organizers need local businesses, groups, and residents to step up. The Selkirk BIZ, the city’s chamber of commerce, has opened float registration and is calling for volunteers to manage street closures along the route.
The parade starts at 10:00 AM and runs in conjunction with the Triple S Fair and Rodeo weekend at Selkirk Park, which draws thousands of spectators. Having a float is a chance for businesses and community groups to get in front of a big crowd while showing their local pride.
“As a non-profit organization, we depend on community volunteers,” Selkirk BIZ says. “Without your support, running the parade isn’t possible.” Volunteers will be stationed at road closures to keep floats, spectators, and families safe.

The Triple S Fair and Rodeo, hosted by the St. Andrew’s – St. Clement’s Agricultural Society, has been a local tradition for over 140 years and can attract up to 8,000 spectators. Pairing the parade with the fair weekend makes it one of the biggest promotional opportunities of the year in Selkirk.
