The warm spell follows an unsettled beginning to the week. As of Monday afternoon, the temperature at Island Lake station was 19°C, with a risk of thunderstorms lingering. By mid-week, clear skies are expected to take over. Tuesday is forecast to be sunny with a high of 24°C and a low of 13°C. Wednesday will be sunny as well, with a high of 25°C and an overnight low of 14°C, offering good conditions for stargazing.
St. Theresa Point is a fly-in First Nations community of about 3,260 people, located roughly 650 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg on the southern shore of Island Lake. It is governed by Chief Elvin Flett and is part of the Island Lake Tribal Council, signatory to Treaty 5. No weather alerts are currently in effect for the area.
