A lively Celtic music and dance production lands at the Scott MacAulay Performing Arts Centre in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, on July 16, 2026. Highland Storm: The Elements starts at 7:30 PM at the 619 Water Street East venue.
The fully reimagined show comes from the College of Piping and Celtic Performing Arts of Canada. It explores themes of air, water, earth, and fire to show how the island, its people, and their way of life have been shaped over time.
Audiences can expect Highland and step dancing, pipes and drums, traditional songs, and fiddle music. The production honours early Scottish settlers who came to the Malpeque shore in 1770 aboard the Annabella, Edinburgh, and Falmouth. James MacHattie, Executive Director of the College and an award-winning piper with more than 30 years of experience, said visitors often arrive expecting good music and dance and leave blown away by the whole production — from the visuals to the choreography.
Tickets are $40 plus tax and can be bought in advance through Ticketpro.ca. The show runs on select dates through August 13.
