The Redcliff Legion is inviting families and residents to a Family Fun Night BBQ on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Legion hall at 302 Broadway Avenue E. The community event celebrates the Royal Canadian Legion’s 100th anniversary and includes food, games, and a chance to support local veterans.
Organizers have set menu prices at $15 for BBQ steaks and $8 for BBQ burgers, with family games also planned for the evening. The event, hosted by the Redcliff Legion, is open to everyone and doubles as a fundraiser for the branch, which has about 300 members and has served the area since its charter in 1929.
The Royal Canadian Legion marks its official incorporation on July 17, 1926, and 2026 is its centennial year. Nationally, the organization now includes more than 300,000 members across 1,350 branches, making this summer a significant moment for local posts like the one in Redcliff.
