The Tecumseh Farmers Market is set for its biggest day yet this Sunday, July 19, 2026, when a record 121 vendors fill Lacasse Park in Tecumseh, Ontario. Running from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 590 Lacasse Boulevard, the market offers fresh produce, homemade goods, and handmade items, and is free for everyone to attend.
The number of vendors marks a big jump from the 74 that came out for last July’s market and the more than 40 vendors at the very first market in June 2025. Organised by the Town of Tecumseh Community Recreation Services and presented by WFCU Credit Union, the market has quickly become a popular community gathering.
Beth Gignac, Director of Community and Recreation Services, has said that people are more focused on supporting local and buying local, and the town had been hearing from vendors for years about wanting this type of event. Mayor Gary McNamara echoed that sentiment, saying supporting the market is about staying local and being “Tecumseh strong.”
This Sunday’s market is part of a season that runs on the third Sunday of each month through October. The remaining dates after July 19 are August 16, September 20, and October 18, all from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Vendor registration for the July market is already closed, showing just how strong the demand is to take part.
