Monday kicked off the week sunny with a high of 25°C. When you factor in the humidity, it felt more like 27. The UV index reached 9, which is very high. That means sunburns can happen quickly, especially between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., so residents should use sunscreen, wear sunglasses, and find some shade.
Tuesday looks like the day that could pack the biggest punch. The forecast calls for cloudy conditions with showers starting in the morning and a risk of thunderstorms. Winds could gust to 50 km/h, and rainfall amounts are expected to be between 10 and 15 mm. The Weather Network gives an 80 percent chance of strong thunderstorms in the afternoon, with a humidex making it feel near 29°C. Wednesday will also bring a chance of showers, but conditions may start to ease.
