The Town of Redcliff is recruiting chili cooks for the second annual Chili Cook-Off, which returns as part of the Fall Festival on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from noon to 4 p.m. at Lions Park.
Registration for the cook-off is free, and the town provides free meat and vegetables to participants. To sign up, email [email protected] or call the Community Services Department at 403-548-3232.
The Chili Cook-Off began in 2025 as a new addition to the Fall Festival lineup. Last year, attendees paid $5 to taste entries and vote for their favourite creation, with proceeds benefiting the Redcliff Youth Centre. The youth centre is a community-funded non-profit that provides a safe place for local youth, offering prevention and life-skill programs, and requires roughly $200,000 annually to remain operational.
The Lions Park venue features kitchen facilities, making it well suited for the cook-off. The park is also home to a playground, splash park, and the old town water tower.
The Fall Festival offers free family activities including pumpkin carving, a penny carnival, a magic show at 2 p.m., and the Something for Everyone Fall Market. Organizers say the festival is a key autumn community gathering in Redcliff.
