At the Island Lake Airport just after 1 p.m., conditions were sunny with a temperature of 22.7°C, light east-southeast winds at 11 km/h, and 52 percent humidity.
Showers are likely to move in Monday night into Tuesday. Environment Canada is calling for a 30 percent chance of showers tonight, with a low of 15°C, and the same chance on Tuesday under mainly cloudy skies and a high of 21°C.
Things clear up again by Wednesday. Sunny conditions are expected through Friday, with daytime highs ranging from 19°C to 21°C and overnight lows dropping to around 8°C Thursday night. No severe weather alerts are currently in effect for the area.
Garden Hill sits on the north shore of Island Lake in northeast Manitoba, roughly 610 kilometres from Winnipeg. The community is reachable only by air or seasonal ice roads, making reliable forecasts especially important for residents and supply runs.
