Unsettled conditions are expected to linger into mid-week.

The forecast calls for a risk of thunderstorms continuing through Tuesday night, with a 60 percent chance of showers overnight. Tuesday’s high is expected to reach 28 degrees Celsius with a Humidex of 36, and Wednesday will see similar temperatures near 29 degrees.
The Niagara Peninsula Conservation Authority is reminding residents to be cautious near the Lake Erie shoreline and local waterways. Although the watershed is currently at a normal flood status, the authority says slopes can be slippery and water levels remain elevated from earlier rainfall. Lake Erie water levels are about 1.3 feet above typical levels, which adds to the risk of localized flooding during heavy downpours.
