The Sault Ste. Marie Public Library has unveiled its fall lineup for kids, bringing back Storytime and Lego sessions while also offering an art program for babies called Baby Picasso.
The Baby Picasso program gives infants aged 6 to 12 months a chance to explore music, art, literacy, and sensory play through hands-on activities using food items like pudding and pasta. The four-session program runs Monday mornings from October 19 to November 9, 2026, from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the James L. McIntyre Centennial Library at 50 East Street.
Registration for Baby Picasso opens Monday, September 28, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. The program is limited to 12 babies, and each child must be accompanied by one caregiver. A valid library card is required to register for Baby Picasso, as well as other children’s programs like Baby Time, Toddler Time, and Preschool Storytime.
Families can also look forward to the return of Storytime sessions at both the Centennial Library and the North Branch throughout September 2026. Lego My Library will run at the Centennial Library on September 13, 20, and 27, 2026, giving kids a chance to build and create together.
