The Southeast Alberta Chamber of Commerce is bringing back the Redcliff Fall Festival and Chili Cook-Off on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from noon to 4 p.m. at Lions Park in Redcliff, Alberta. Residents can sample chili entries for $5 per bowl, or upgrade to a $10 collectible bowl made by the Medicine Hat Potters Association using locally sourced Plainsman Clay.
This is the second year for the chili cook-off, which launched in 2025 as a fundraiser for the Redcliff Youth Centre. The youth centre is a community-funded non-profit that needs about $200,000 a year to keep offering free programs and services to local youth.
The event is free to attend and includes family-friendly activities like carnival games, a petting zoo, and pumpkin carving. Local musician Rob Hudec will perform live music. The Something For Everyone Market will also be on site with vendor booths, giving shoppers a chance to support small businesses and crafters without paying admission.
Lions Park is a 3.77-acre green space in Redcliff known for its splash park and mature cottonwood trees. The festival is organized by the Southeast Alberta Chamber of Commerce, which serves Redcliff and surrounding communities.
Chili lovers can buy a regular bowl for $5 and taste all the entries, then vote for their favourite. Those wanting a keepsake can pay $10 for a bowl crafted by the Medicine Hat Potters Association, made with clay from Plainsman Clays, Canada’s largest clay manufacturer based in Medicine Hat.
