The City of Airdrie, Alberta, has launched its 2026 seasonal recruitment drive, hiring workers for the spring and summer months to help maintain local roads, parks and public spaces as the community grows. These temporary positions are intended to keep city services running smoothly during the warmer weather while giving local residents and students the chance to work outdoors in Airdrie neighbourhoods.

The city is recruiting gardeners, maintenance workers and labourers to work at various locations across Airdrie, including the new Northeast Regional Park and along established walking paths. These seasonal roles focus on essential outdoor maintenance tasks such as road and pathway maintenance, and the upkeep of green spaces to keep them safe and usable for families.

According to the City of Airdrie’s 2025 municipal census, the city had about 90,044 residents (provincial population tables also report Airdrie’s 2025 population as above 90,000). The city’s 2026 operating and capital budget includes funding to respond to growth pressures and to help maintain existing service levels as the population increases.

Interested residents can apply through the City of Airdrie’s online career portal or the city’s official job opportunities page. Postings are typically open until filled, and some seasonal roles list an application closing date of April 30, 2026.
