The Airdrie Pro Rodeo, organized by the volunteer Airdrie Rodeo Ranch Association (ARRA), will take place June 29–July 1, 2026, with a new emphasis on helping local families access the show. The Airdrie Pro Rodeo announced that this year’s event will feature homegrown music and a Family Day where attendees may enter by bringing a food donation for the Airdrie Food Bank.
Local country singer Brandon Lorenzo will headline the cabaret series each night after the rodeo performances. Lorenzo, who grew up in Airdrie, has won multiple industry awards in Nashville — including Male Vocalist of the Year and Male Entertainer of the Year at the North American Country Music Association International (NACMAI) awards in 2023, and a Male Vocalist award at the 2023 Josie Music Awards — and is returning to headline the event’s cabaret nights.
Organizers are running a Family Day: in lieu of admission, attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable food item in support of the Airdrie Food Bank. The initiative is meant to help residents who are finding it harder to afford groceries — local reporting and event materials note rising demand for the food bank, with research indicating a roughly 15–20% increase in service demand as of early 2026 — while keeping the rodeo accessible to all.
The three-day event features professional athletes competing in CPRA-sanctioned events (Canadian Professional Rodeo Association). Many competitors use stops like the Airdrie Rodeo Grounds as key lead-ups to larger events such as the Calgary Stampede.
The rodeo has roots dating to 1967, when the event began as a Centennial project, and is held at the Airdrie Rodeo Grounds just west of Airdrie on Highway 567. By focusing on local talent and food security this year, the volunteer-run ARRA hopes to keep the celebration centered on the community.
