The Town of Ajax, Ontario, is inviting local non-profit groups to sign up for the 2026 Volunteer Fair. This annual event will happen on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at the Audley Recreation Centre to help community organizations find new helpers.
Local charities and community groups have until Friday, March 6, 2026, to register for a free display table at the event. The fair is set to host more than 30 different organizations looking for people to help with office work, fundraising, youth programs, and leadership roles on executive boards.
The event runs from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and is held in celebration of National Volunteer Week. It provides a simple way for residents to find ways to give back and helps high school students earn the 40 hours of community service needed to graduate.
People who are 18 years old or older and want to volunteer must provide a clear criminal record check that includes a search for working with vulnerable people. These checks are handled by the Durham Regional Police Services to ensure the safety of all community programs.
