École Parkside School will host its annual curling tournament at the Altona Curling Rink in Altona, Manitoba, on February 27, 2026. The full-day event brings students to the local rink to compete and practice the sport together.

The tournament is for students in Grade 7 and 8 who have been learning to curl during their physical education classes over the last two months. Because students will be away from their regular classes all day, they must hand in permission forms signed by their parents and homeroom teachers to take part.

All participants are required to bring clean indoor shoes that have not been worn outside to use on the ice at the Millennium Exhibition Centre. The rink is located about one kilometre away from the school building on 10th Avenue NW.

Families should check with the school for specific details about transportation and afternoon supervision. The Border Land School Division manages how students are moved to community facilities, and dismissal routines may change for the day.
