Mount Allison University has published its 2025–26 holiday hours. The university’s announcement says the Holiday Break runs from Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025, to Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, and university offices will be closed during that period. Regular office hours resume on Monday, Jan. 5, 2026, and classes begin on Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026.
Residences will close for the end of term on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2025, at 5 p.m.; residences re-open for returning students on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026. Students who need to remain on campus over the break should contact the Housing Office (resroom@mta.ca) to request permission.
The Athletic Centre and the Fitness Centre (in the Wallace McCain Student Centre) will close at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 23, and will resume regular hours on Monday, Jan. 5, 2026 (6 a.m.–9 p.m.). Jennings Dining Hall’s last 2025 meal service is Thursday, Dec. 18 (hot breakfast, 9 a.m.–12 p.m.); Jennings will re-open on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026 (4:45 p.m.–8 p.m.), with regular hours resuming Wednesday, Jan. 7.
Community members who use Mount Allison’s recreation and study spaces (including residents of nearby Amherst, N.S.) should note the staggered closures and make alternate arrangements during the holidays.
