The Town of Amherstburg, Ontario, is closing the washroom facilities at Toddy Jones Park for roof construction starting the week of March 16, 2026.
Work on the building is expected to continue until the weekend of May 24, 2026, provided that the weather remains favourable. Residents and visitors should plan for the closure when visiting the park over the next several weeks.
While the repairs are underway, the town is directing the public to use the permanent washrooms at the nearby King’s Navy Yard Park. These alternative facilities will remain open for public use throughout the construction period.
The town is completing the maintenance now to ensure the facilities at Toddy Jones Park are ready for the busier summer season. The park is a popular spot for families and includes a splash pad, playground, and picnic areas.
