Amherstburg residents are being invited to share their feedback on local quality of life through the 2026 Vital Signs Survey. The project, managed by the WindsorEssex Community Foundation, is open for public participation now through August 7, 2026.
The survey asks participants to provide input on 11 key areas that impact daily life, including housing, mental wellness, food security, safety, and community belonging. The results from this process will be used to guide future funding decisions and help non-profits, businesses, and government leaders better understand the needs of the community.
Executive Director Lisa Kolody has led the foundation since 2014, and the organization continues to play a significant role in regional support. In 2025, the foundation invested over $1.1 million into local charities to address various community priorities.
The survey takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Residents can fill out the form online at the foundation’s website or request a paper copy and receive assistance by calling 519-255-6572.
Previous feedback gathered by the organization has highlighted important local issues. The 2025 report indicated that 40 percent of residents faced challenges accessing mental health programs, 36 percent noted the importance of living wages, and 37 percent expressed a desire for more opportunities to connect with their community.
