The Town of Arnprior is offering a new full‑day March Break camp this March to help local families with childcare and activities during the school break. The program runs March 16–20, 2026, at the Nick Smith Centre and is designed to give parents a reliable option while schools are closed for the week.
Children ages 4–12 can participate in a variety of themed, active programs. Each camp day includes an hour of swimming in the Nick Smith Centre pool and skating on the arena ice; themed days include sports, inflatables, STEM activities, an escape‑room challenge and a magician visit. The Town’s youth programming historically also includes arts activities and outdoor programming that uses nearby trails.
Parents can register their children through the Town of Arnprior Program Registration Portal (PerfectMind) or in person at the Nick Smith Centre front desk. The Town notes that previous March Break programs have sold out quickly (historically capped at roughly 24–30 spots), so it recommends registering early; a waitlist will be used if sessions fill.
The published fees for the week are tiered by residency: Resident $225 and Non‑Resident $337.50. Extended care is available for an additional $75 for the week (drop‑off as early as 7:45 a.m. and pickup as late as 4:30 p.m.). Full‑week registration is required; the Town’s March Break page also outlines the refund policy and other program requirements.
Families seeking help covering fees can inquire about financial assistance options. The Town works with Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities on youth programming and other local initiatives, and families should contact the Nick Smith Centre or the Recreation Department to learn about applicable assistance and how to apply.
For details and registration, visit the Town’s March Break page or the Town of Arnprior program registration portal, or contact the Nick Smith Centre at 613‑623‑7301 or recreation@arnprior.ca.
