On December 11, 2025, the Town of Arnprior posted the agenda for a Special Environmental Advisory Committee meeting set for December 17, 2025, on its online calendar. The announcement gives residents a chance to review the items the committee will discuss before forwarding recommendations to Town Council.

The meeting will focus on the final stages of the Water and Wastewater Master Plan Update, a multi-year project to assess the Town’s water and wastewater systems and their ability to service future growth (the master plan update has been framed to address long-term growth projections). This special session addresses outstanding issues not completed during the committee’s regular March–November cycle.

Committee members, including Councillor Ted Strike, are scheduled to meet in person at Town Hall (105 Elgin St. West); check the meeting agenda on the CivicWeb calendar for any remote-access (Zoom) details. Members will review staff reports and related materials on sustainable infrastructure, conservation efforts and local climate resiliency. According to the Town, the EAC’s role is to provide advice and recommendations to Council on environmental issues including sustainable practices, conservation and alternative energy solutions.

Residents can view the full agenda on the Arnprior CivicWeb calendar and prepare questions or feedback. The committee’s year-end recommendations are expected to go to Town Council for final consideration in early 2026.
