The Aurora Cultural Centre cancelled six education classes on February 18, 2026, because of a winter storm hitting Aurora, Ontario. The decision follows a winter storm watch issued for the region that warned of heavy snow and hazardous travel conditions.

The cancellations affect several arts and music programs held at the centre’s facility at 22 Church Street. This building is a central part of the Town of Aurora community hub located at the Aurora Town Square.

The specific sessions being pushed back include Drawing Club Intermediate, Guitar Beginner, Guitar Intermediate, Watercolour II, and the ukulele program called You Can Uke It! Most of these classes are now expected to finish their terms on March 11, 2026.

Students in the Drawing Fundamentals class will have a longer delay, with their final lesson now moved to April 1, 2026. These programs serve many local adults and seniors who attend the centre for weekly lessons.

Participants who need more information about their makeup classes or refund policies can contact the centre office directly. Staff are providing instructions to students regarding their course materials and next steps for finishing their sessions.
